Sainsbury’s, like many UK supermarkets, offers shoppers a meal deal which usually consists of a ‘main’ like a sandwich or a pasta pot, a ‘snack’ such as a packet of crisps, and a drink.

Sainsbury’s shoppers recently kicked off on social media after it emerged the supermarket had increased the price of its meal deal by seven percent.

One user on the social media platform X posted: “The country is past the point of any repair. The Sainsbury’s meal deal has gone up to £3.75.”
