The late great Dame Maggie Smith leaves behind an incredible legacy after over 70 years in Hollywood.

The 89-year-old who died yesterday is best known in modern times for her roles as Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter movies and as Lady Violet Crawley in the Downton Abbey TV series and films.

Alongside two acting Oscar wins from early in her career, the British national treasure also delighted in fan favourites like Hook and Sister Act.
