The jury has reached a verdict Wednesday in the murder trial of former Nevada politician Robert Telles, who is accused of stabbing a prominent Las Vegas investigative journalist to death in 2022 over unflattering articles he had authored about Telles’ leadership in office.

The jury of 12 returned the verdict Wednesday, two days after closing arguments on Monday.

The verdict will be read out at 12 p.m. local time (3 p.m. ET), Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District court said on X.
