Morrisons makes major self-checkout change after supermarket ‘went too far’
Morrisons has made a major U-turn on how it runs its self-checkouts in stores, with its boss admitting the supermarket chain ‘went a bit too far’.
The retailer has made the decision to cut back on the number of self-checkouts after it reportedly admitted to installing too many.
Rami Baitiéh, chief executive of Morrisons, said that it is “reviewing the balance between self-checkouts and manned tills”.
