Households across the UK will be paid up to £25,000 each due to awful wet weather which has caused flooding.

Farmers or those with farm land are being told they will be handed a payment based on their farm’s size, with a minimum payment of £2,895 for eligible farmers, up to a maximum of £25,000, based on UK weather maps.

The payment applies to farmers whose land has been severely affected by flooding and wet weather who will need to do remedial work to make it farmable in future.
